Ellis Burks 1988 MSA Disc Set complete!

Mailman dropped off the 1988 MSA Super Stars '88 Disc variation for my Burks collection today: That was the last variation I needed to complete the set:

Who's Your Favorite Player and Why?

I never understood the trade a week later, either. I've heard rumors (online and radio) that the Sox may be going after him again.

Who's Your Favorite Player and Why?

Ellis Burks. Growing up, I thought he was one of the most exciting Red Sox players to watch. He had solid defense, speed, and a fair amount of power. My favorite Burks card, ever since it was pack pulled in '92: As for current players, I would say Adam LaRoche. His swing is amazing.

What is everyone's idea of vintage?

Gotta go with Pre-1970. I was born in '79, so I don't consider anything (myself included :)) from the '70's to be vintage.

Going to Boston tomorrow, what should I do?

My wife and I have tickets for that game, too. Where are you sitting? As for what to do, what are you and your wife interested in? With limited time there's Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market, the Harbour, the North End, or the Common/Public Garden. I don't know how far ahead you need to purchase...

:) The colors are great. I really like how Oakes' glove hand extends beyond the picture border. Added this one recently, too:

    Adrian Gonzalez

He's been on a tear as of late (almost .500 in the last 10 games.) I don't see any major spikes in his card values, however. I would say his investment days are over, but he has quite a few quality cards available at great prices for a PC. I've been looking to add a couple, too.

Couple of big pickups for my Ellis Burks collection...

New additions to the Burks collection have been slow as of late. I did manage to pick up a couple of big ones lately, however. First is a GU bat from his '04 stint with the Red Sox. He only played in 11 games that season, so gamers are rare. Second is his 1989 Topps Heads Up Test...
