If he does everything you hypothesize he will get in (except for winning the World Series, that's not really important when it comes to making the baseball HOF). It might take him a while but he will get in. Ralph Kiner got elected in his 13th try despite only playing 10 years (age 23-32) .279...
Yeah, that was Orlando "Zeus" Brown. He actually did play again but missed 3 seasons because of that injury. He died last year due to complications from diabetes (which would have been easily preventable but he didn't know he had diabetes).
I went to a game in St. Louis after the strike in 1981 and I remember the drunks behind us in the upper deck were super loud, yelling "Hey Lasorda, you stink! Hey Lasorda, you stink!" over and over. After a couple innings of this Lasorda came out of the dugout in the middle of an inning pointed...
My first game was Game 2 of the 1976 World Series in Cincinnati. Reds vs. Yankees. I was only 4 so I recall almost nothing of the game. I know that it was really cold and my dad forgot to pack our coats so we huddled under a blanket the whole game. The only thing about the whole experience...
That is great looking but I'm wondering where that patch came from. Must've been from a spring training jersey from 2004 or 2005. The Royals haven't had that patch on their unis since '05 and Butler didn't make his MLB debut until 2007.

There's more to the story. McRae accused the Twins of racism. He felt they played their defense in a way that would let Brett get the hit.
More on that here: http://www.royalsreview.com/2010/2/9/1303471/hal-mcrae-racism-and-the-disputed
I had a few people contact me stating that they were charged postage due so I contacted my local post master. He said the problem is that there are so many conflicting rules at the post office that most people don't have a clue what the actual rule is. Just because it leaves his post office...
I have 2 of the Latos Crowd Pleasers pending. If they send me a Cashner as a replacement I'm going to be pissed. I paid $15-20 for the Latos redemptions when Tier One first came out (I was going after the Crowd Pleasers set and won 2 on accident) -- I actually had that same Cashner auto last...
Just remembered I still had this from a lot 12 of Grand Finales I bought back in 2000 (paid $5 each -- all were low demand guys). This is the only 1 I have left from that lot since it has some back creases.
