Here is a variation I have found in the 1998 Pinnacle Plus Yardwork set. The cards on the left are the common version, while the ones on the right are missing the set of horizontal lines on the right side of the card. So far I have just found these three players. Does anyone else have any...
In football a short career with undeniable talent and a high peak can get you into the Hall of Fame, but rarely so in baseball. For the Baseball Hall of Fame you need gaudy career numbers, especially if you're an outfielder, and Hamilton will fall short even if he is great for the next 5-7...
I picked up a Grand Finale Todd Walker on COMC a couple weeks back and decided to do the rainbow for fun:
It just made me want to find a Larkin Grand Finale that much more!
I do collect Larkin, but I have too many interests to get super serious about it. Your PC is much nicer and far more complete than mine. I do have a few nice ones though:
I don't think I ever showed that off -- thanks again, George!
I also picked up this 1990 Topps Glossy Paste-Up from the Topps Vault recently. It's not very pretty, but still kind of interesting.
I did go check COMC when I saw them mentioned and picked up a few. If that's sneaky, then I am guilty as charged. However, I think we've all seen many times that when something gets mentioned in this thread as being rare, higher prices follow shortly thereafter. Though, if the theory is...
I have noticed these before, and I believe the Series One (1-265) cards with the diamond-shaped holograms to be from factory sets. All of the Series Two cards that I have seen have the diamond holograms. So, I think UD printed the Series One cards for packs with the home plate holograms first...
That card is 100% fake -- it is one of several fakes that were offered by ebay seller jcalabria2012 (aka butherman2011) back in February. Ebay pulled most of his auctions, but at least a couple Griffey's sold BIN before that happened. The original seller/faker and his auctions were discussed...
I don't think admitted or proven PED users should be considered for the Hall of Fame. PED use is not the same as your cup of coffee; your cup of coffee is neither illegal nor against the rules of your workplace. PED use is more like throwing a spitball or swinging a corked bat on every play...
Yep, I have the same Epson, and the CIS/LED tech is great for scanning everything except refractors, especially graded vintage. But there's no setting that will keep the refractors from looking like your Soto.
My suggestion is to get a cheap all-in-one printer/scanner with the old...
There's no way to contact sellers through the COMC site, but if your offer is not accepted, you get 30 days to cash out your store credit without paying the 20% fee.
^^I love that Stat Line Season -- great set!
Took me forever, but I finally found a 1998 Row 0 to finish off Jimmy's run of 90's Legacy Collections (the ones /100, not the Masterpieces unfortunately):
Yeah that was me. I promise it was nothing personal -- I hit the purchase button so fast I never even saw who the seller was.
As a buyer, I love COMC for deals like this. I once bought a 1996 Select Certified Mirror Red Premium Stock Steve Young for $2 (BV80) because they listed it as just...
