Hey everyone - haven't been around for a couple months because I got a new job and had to take a break from collecting for a bit. But now I am back and looking to buy high end Barry Larkins. I am looking for anything I don't already have. I still need a ton of the cards from 2012 Prime Cuts...
Yep - Karma I guess ;)

I did it because I felt like the seller hadn't tried to rip me off. I think it was someone at the PO who did it. I just didn't think it was right for the seller to be out the money and the card - so I split the loss with him. Of course, I could have been wrong - but I talked to him several...
I was thinking the same thing - I have no idea how that card could have ended up there. I hadn't decided whether I wanted to pursue it or not. I kept all of the information from the original purchase including pictures, and I have an open case with the PO for lost mail. So I can definitely...
Just picked up a really sweet Barry Larkin card from 2001 - but the story behind the purchase is what is really interesting. Back in June I purchased a 2001 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Spectrum Parallel #4/10 Barry Larkin card. I paid $60, which I think was about right, given the difficulty...
Huge shout out to PadresFan86 - I opened my mail today and found a package I wasn't expecting. I opened it up and it was a Barry Larkin 1998 Topps Tek Diffractor!! This gives me 3 - so that tells you how rarely the Larkin's surface. I'll post a scan this weekend if I get a chance to get it...
I just picked up 12 more of the Pacific Embossed card show cards from the mid-late 90's. I now have 72 different ones of Larkin. The coolest part of it though is I tracked down a file that contains photos of the embossings from every one of the shows. I was surprised there were so many of...
He has several other big stars listed right now on Ebay. Most appear to be from 1989 and 1990. He has all the biggest stars listed right now, and I got the impression he may have more that aren't listed yet. He has a sweet Griffey from 1990 Donruss that is missing the "Jr." in the name:
Just purchased this 1992 Donruss Black/White Paper Proof. Normally I wouldn't buy cards like this, but the guy sent in enough proof to Beckett to have them authenticate and grade it. That makes it pretty awesome in my book - and what are the odds that a paper proof used in production would...
That was actually my first one - and I picked up one other one along with that one. So I have 2 now :) I know, not very impressive, but I just never see them. I am very happy to finally have a couple though!
Mentioned I picked this card up a few weeks back - Here is the scan, along with a couple other recent pickups. Going to send the promo in to PSA to get graded. Hoping for an 8 - just has slight bit of chipping on the back edges:
I can't believe Brandon Phillips didn't win it at 2nd base. Barney is very giood defensively too, but his range isn't even in the same league as Phillips.
I mentioned this earlier, with teh assumption that it did exist but i have never seen it. After talking to other huge Larkin collectors, they are also missing this "base"card, so I am now starting to wonder if it does exist.
Can anyone confirm that this card exists:
2005 UD Portraits #31 Barry...
I would think that the other teams best pitcher getting hurt and a perennial gold glover making an error is pretty lucky. That being said, they still won and that is all that matters in the end.
2005 Absolute - unrivaled patches and great looking cards
2001 Leaf Certified Materials - the first year of the Fabric of the Game Memorabilia set. And the mirror cards were awesome parallels as well.
I loved 2003 Leaf Limited as well.
Wow, the Mike Greenwell he has listed is up to $53.00!! Glad I got in on the ground floor and got the 2 Larkins for $20 before he started selling them at auction. Have they all been selling this well?
Crap - I wasn't online last night. I am just going to tell myself their wasn't a Larkin, since there doesn;t appear to be one now. That is one of the few non 1/1's from 1997 that I don't have. Since I don't have the card I don't know, but are the real ones actually serial #'d to 30?
