Here is Kiley McDaniel's opinion on the same topic. Let's just say the variance is very large.

I asked when I was there and was told that they can't take less than their prices. I did get to pay tax on top of my purchase though. It may seem like a great idea to go to the store, but they make it feel like you're shopping from home anyway.
Surprising to see Gatewood in Tier 2. Seems like Law is convinced his hit tool will be present and improved this spring. He also happens to only have All American cards, which is rare this year. I sold some of mine due to not knowing how the hit tool will be this year.
Turner looks to be a 4...
I sell high end first. The rate of increase is higher for base autos than color as the cards continue to rise in value. And I think this is more true today as the gap between Ref au /500 and Blue au is as great as ever.
I've always wanted one for the die cut seriel number. Pulled the regular version of Beltre back in the day and really liked the card. I'm interested in buying the Sosa.
I like climbing the ladder - sell a couple at one price, list the next couple at a higher price. I stay away from best offers a lot of times because of how tempting it is to accept offers [lots of offers regardless]. If a card goes from $30 to $150, I will try to capture at least half the...
Because MLB killed the Rookie Card, and there has been time for the hobby to figure things out, the Bowman Chrome autograph has taken over as the card to get. Everything else is secondary and I dont expect this to change in the near future.
Honestly, I don't even answer questions from people like that when it comes to Chrome prospects as it is a waste of my time. You can just reply saying that you don't want to describe the card incorrectly or that it is not damaged. I had someone once ask me about the condition of a chrome au...
Not sealing the top of the top loader is negligence on the seller's part. It's similar to shipping game used cards in white envelopes or shipping a card in a holder that only covers half the card [ie tall boy in top loader]. As a seller, I have NEVER shipped a card in a top loader w/o sealing...
Now that I look back at my sales, I lost a good amount on dorssys paulino too.
Guess I'll be figuring out how the heck I'll be paying taxes on this stuff this year.
The guy is fine. I don't really see any issues with his point of view other than the name calling. I just did a deal with him and it was smooth and easy. I guess that's why he thanked me for working with him on a better price.

As a prospector, this set was amazingly good. While I know almost nothing about today's wax, I believe the high price of this product helped the value of the cards I sold. It treated me better than most of Topps' other products.
I sold a base Topps Chrome for $90. However, the buyer messaged me to ask if it was numbered or a Refractor right after. The Topps Chromes are MUCH tougher to find than the Bowman Chromes. When I built my stash, I had ~30 BCs and ~5 TCs.
You should check out the first series. They matched almost every single card as best as they could. The update was more of a rush job due to the circumstances.
Here are my Jumbos where you can see the swatches matching the photos...
Tens are really a crapshoot. More luck than anything. If it had one more 10 sub, I might take the chance. Not sure I would on that.
Man, I sold that blue to you ages ago. I'm surprised it would still be the only gem.
Hey Ryan, I got the cards yesterday. They seem to be well packaged but there was still room for the slabs to move. I think that is why two of the slabs got chipped. Fortunately, the two that got chipped are non gold labels so I'll be popping them out anyway. I thought it would be good for...
