Not a gamble at all. Why just last night, a few of us opened a box of 2006 Bowman Draft at the shop in hopes of finding the mythical Longoria super. No way would I have sold that card if I pulled it...
... sadly, I pulled a Kasey Kiker gold refractor instead. Which I'm going to keep.
He didn't need to do a tuck-and-roll to show us up. He did a good enough job showing us up with 98 mph fastballs at our back foot that we flailed at pathetically.
No doubt. I can't imagine how many of you sold your Verlander chrome autos for $5 in 2008 because, in his 3rd season, he <insert prospect bust cliche here>.
You can believe whatever you want - I personally don't know the truth behind either story, so I can't say who is right and who is wrong. But I don't see how you can just sit there and say "the story has just gone away". If you tried to tell me this last night at home, I wouldn't have even been...
I am of the belief that the real story would have come out already if it would have helped Braun. I can think of 145.5 million reasons why Braun would lie, but fail to come up with that many reasons for Lucroy to lie. I just thinks it's a little silly that you stand by Ryan Braun like you're...
Us Brewers fans don't like to be lied to through the media by our favorite players. I can't think of any other time this year where that might have happened.
Actually, you only should have got 12.65 red waves, so you beat the odds. I don't imagine anyone will be upset about that.
At least you got your packs - what about all the people that aren't even going to get any packs now at all (much less ones with a lower-than-mathematically-calculated...
There is also the non-auto spam - saw a few of those. And then the listings with autograph instead of auto. I wish more people would have looked into your suggestion that maybe not all 38 signed. Alas, I have counted at least 36 of them, so it appears that the number is at least close to that.
It is quite a coincidence that I have managed to collect 2 of the players most hated by their fanbase. And that Weeks has pretty much "Dunn" this year what Dunn did last year. I may just have to dig out some cards and start a thread for ya. ;)
All kidding aside, I love your enthusiasm for...
Is that good for the baseball boards, or is it only good for the MT? I have nothing against the MT - used to read it quite often, and I know Josh would just be crying all the time without it. But perhaps that is the answer to the question posed in the title - everyone is in the MT. Those people...
So are you saying you don't have any cards of him?
Can't seem to find my Sweet Spot silver ink auto scan - the only time I pulled a nice card of someone I was avidly collecting at the time.
I don't know - I thought it was the other way around because I sent in a few to Beckett for their 5-day turnaround/pay for 10-day special, and I got terrible grades. Then here I get 9.5s on my Topps Chrome autos (Castro, Kimbrel, Pineda), but only a 9 on my Kershaw, and I for sure thought the...
This is a point worth considering in my opinion. I might be inclined to buy one that somebody did right and that ends up looking way better than what Topps puts out there. Not endorsing the patch fakers, but I will say I don't have that much more trust in Topps that the jersey patch they put...
You don't think they'll do it like the 2010 Topps Chrome redemption where you either get refractors or green refractors, but not a mix in the same pack? I would have guessed that so you have 1 in 20 chance of getting a red wave pack, and 1 in 25 of getting an auto pack.
