1993 Stadium Club Executive edge gold??

I bought the Robby Thompson for a $3 accepted offer but, just like the TNP777's Butler the left edge only has gold on the lower quarter of an inch on the card. Nice looking card otherwise.

The return of Pinnacle & its dufex goodness!

This was a great set in 1997 or 1998, hopefully it can recapture the magic from back then.

Oh, just another $511 Will Clark card serially numbered to 55 . . . WOW!

Man, I wish I had the disposable cash that Mike has. Great win for the seller and Mike gets to add one more rare Clark to his collection.

Biggest Mailday EVER for me ! A lil' happy

Great pick ups Ryan, good to see that a Clark collector was able to acquire the jersey, the price must have been sky high.

HOF Dilemma: Get Clemens/Bonds signatures now, or wait until they are actually inducted?

I think Bonds and Clemens will get in, even if it takes the veteran's committee doing it.

    Greinke breaks his collar bone

Personally, I think Quentin should be suspended for 8 games, about the same amount of starts Greinke would have made over a 6 week period. But I think that won't be case because you can't pin-point when the break happened. Did it happen on the block, or maybe in the dog pile, who knows? If you...

    Greinke breaks his collar bone

The overreaction in this situation is from everyone after the fact, due to the severity of Greinke's injuries. If he came out this fine with just a bruise no one cares, no one. But because he's out 6 weeks everyone is up in arms. CQ is definitely in the wrong, but the history between the two...

    Will Clark Collectors Thread

Was lucky enough to attend the Giants World Series ring ceremony yesterday. It was great to see Will Clark in a Giants uniform accepting his ring.

    The "Cameo" Thread

Looks like Royce Clayton who played for the Giants from 1991 to 1995 and wore #21 and 10. The arm band definately looks like Clayton and the number could be # 10.

2012 Leaf Memories Big Hit Tracker - Update: Closing Auto Prices

I just lost out on the Robby Thompson 1/1 :(....went for $73, almost twice the highest price I've ever paid for a Thompson card. Ebay ID ycbtal must really like this set or like the Giants in the set, they're also the one who bid the Butler 1/1 up to $60. Robby Thompson 2012 Leaf Memories...

1-box of 2012 Sterling yields.....(Updated with Replacement Video)

I've come to the conclusion that the only way to force Topps into increasing their quality control is to complain to the MLB. The MLB gave Topps their exclusive licence in an effort to ensure that their brand was being represented in a good light for card collectors. Topps mistakes have taken a...

Topps Auto'ed Gold Infused Baseball Redemption - SHOCKING UPDATE!

I completely agree, that would be the case with any market, eliminate the outliners and average the rest to find the fair market value. Any market can be manipulated, heck this thread is about the possibility that Topps manipulated the market be offering the promotion to sell baseball cards...

Topps Auto'ed Gold Infused Baseball Redemption - SHOCKING UPDATE!

Out of curiosity why wouldn't ebay be a useful market reference? To me ebay represents the definition of a market, a place where the forces of supply and demand operate and where sellers and buyers interact. Ebay is available to just about everyone, it's not regional, and the prices are set by...

Topps Auto'ed Gold Infused Baseball Redemption - SHOCKING UPDATE!

How would the IRS value this prize or gift? Would they use production costs or fair market value? My guess is they'd use fmv and use actual sales of the item to determine what fmv is, kinda like using bluebook for the value of an older car. So in a way Topps needs to compensate consumers for the...

    Will Clark Collectors Thread

As far as I know the Giants never wore patches to honor Craig, or really anyone during the timeframe Clark played for them. I also believe that the patch in this card is fake. The Giants never wore a patch on their jersey's like this one. Maybe on their jackets but that would have been from the...

    Will Clark Collectors Thread

Great looking card, any idea where the patch on the left can from? It doesn't make any patches worn by the Giants and I thought Upper Deck only used a Giants jersey of Clark's in their products.
