Feel free to do a price comparison on LiveGroupBreaks.com as well. We don't do pick your team breaks, except in the PC Club (wherein, participants pick their PC team and they have rights to their PC team for every month's PC break. All unclaimed PC teams are sold in auction format and the...
Looking forward to see where Justin Kamplain goes. My younger brother played baseball with him at my alma mater in HS and is good friends with him. He finished well at Bama this year, going 6-1 his last 7. Cubs are most likely going to pick him up late 2nd or early 3rd round.
I have #8 pick in a break. These teams have been taken:
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox
Houston Astros
Boston Red Sox
Philadelphia Phillies
Colorado Rockies
New York Yankees
So, who would you take at #8 ?
I think what he was getting at was the reason some of those people "enjoy" collecting those Single A pitchers, which is purely to make a profit. They don't care about the "collecting" aspect of it; as soon as it becomes profitable, those cards are gone.
I thought also that hobby box=jumbo box. But, there appears to be differentiation between a hobby and jumbo box according to this sell sheet. Case in point is the '89 buyback cards. It states that parallel /5 are found in hobby boxes and /25 are found in jumbo boxes. That leads me to believe...
I'm sure it's been discussed here, but it was news to me:
Tanaka refuses to sign autos because he thinks it is bad luck.
So, will we ever see a product with a Tanaka auto?
Many parallels/inserts say hobby only. Many parallels/inserts say Jumbo only. Some parallels/inserts say hobby and jumbo only. So, am I correct in assuming, for example, that you can only get non-auto supers in hobby and auto-supers in Jumbo only, and wave hot backs in hobby only but not jumbo...
So if you really want a cherry pie, you won't buy it? Rather, you will enter a raffle and take the chance of not getting the cherry pie? That's sound logic.
Would it be plausible to cut two long pieces of cardboard and tape the ends, making the "box" less than a half inch tall? I also saw some large bubble mailers at Walmart last time I was there, but I'm not sure they would fit.
I bought a dozen or so vintage pennants today at a yard sale. What is the best way to ship them? I've never shipped a pennant before. Is it OK to roll them up? Some of them are pretty "rigid" and it seems like it would leave creases. Is there a way to ship them flat? These are 30" pennants, most...
Do you have a UPS store close by? If so, they will package it for you. I usually avoid the UPS Store here like the plague because they are so expensive, but if I am shipping something very fragile, I will consider them since I am paranoid about not securing it correctly. And if they package it...
I have never ordered from Dave and Adam's before, simply because their prices seemed to be higher than everyone else. But they had a card I wanted that I couldn't find anywhere else, so I decided to order. First off, shipping for a single card was ridiculous at $8.95. Nevertheless, I wanted the...
