BWAHHAAHA - I was literally answering questions about the teeth cards from another forum right before I clicked on this. It should be noted that I wasn't the one who bought the teeth ... I just made the cards! (And yes, I kept one, but let's not worry about that tidbit!) :D
Talk about a full-circle moment!
Eleven years ago tomorrow, I was embarking upon easily the craziest moment of my baseball card journey. I was pulling up to Jose Canseco's house with my family.
We ended up spending the afternoon with him - we played cards (with cards I made him,) ate...
Jose actually wrote about it, then my buddy Edward reached out to him and asked if he could buy. I don't know anything about how much they were etc ... i was just the custom card guy in this :)
How far is too far when it comes to relics in baseball cards?
I've seen and done pretty much everything under the sun over the past few years of creating custom cards, but the following message I'm about to share with you just about blew everything else out of the water ...
"Hey Tanner, Jose...
What are you talking about? We were sitting at Photoshop for HOURS together. Then he printed and cut, I assembled, and we went out for ice cream together! Well ... that would've been cool, anyway. He did have input and such, but of I definitely did the work :)
*Phone rings*
Hello?
Hey, Tanner? This is Jose Canseco! How are you?
*Nearly chokes*

If you've been following me for a while, you know that the two things I love most in this hobby are creating custom cards, and collecting Canseco cards.
When the opportunity came...
I can understand that for sure! Like everyone else, I'm not a fan of airbrushed logos ... but ... what did get me in the nostalgia feels is the 2017 Leaf Q 1/1 jumbo patch. It blatantly has airbrushed logos out, but then I remembered this ... see the airbrushed photos in the cards from the...

Let's talk about 1991 Donruss!
Mediocre. Lackluster. Predictable. That's what some collectors said about Donruss' first two series release. It has been said that the production run was at its highest with the brand in '91, allegedly having printed 3,000,000 of each base card.

The 1/1 thing is bananas now - there are new Leaf Canseco 1/1s that come up DAILY. I do love some 1/1s, but this hobby is so deep, there is so much we can get excited about...without having to try and get everything.
Yup! More than a few years ago now I suppose, in 2018. Back then, I was going for EVERYTHING. Now, I just go for the pieces I love. I was up to over 5,000 uniques back then. Now, I'm right at around 300 or so :)
