2010 "1990" ud stamped anniversary buy backs?

A poster on beckett shows a pic of a 1990 ud griffey w a "20 anniversary" stamped buy back on it.

He says he got a complete 800 card set (stamped) at a garage sale & it came in a 1990 ud box.

I know they did these in 2009 but don't recall any from 2010 bxs.

I've never seen or heard of any. Does he provide scans of any besides Griffey? I would have thought others would have surfaced by now. Redemption possibly?

The 20th Anniversary cards had a foil stamp on the front of the card and they were 1989 cards..

Yep, that's an '89 version, poster is referring to the 1990 versions, but basically the same idea. I've never heard of the '90 version.

Because I'm pretty sure they don't exist, just like many of the 1989 versions... :lol: :lol:

look on the sell sheets for 2010 and it says to look for 20th anniversary stamped buybacks of the 1990 set randomly inserted.. These were slated to be inserted so there will definately be more than 1 set out there.

At Twinsfest, I saw a box of 2010 UD that had "Look for 1990 Buybacks" printed on it. Should have looked into it and bought some, but I will confirm I saw it on a box, but not an example of any cards. Hobby only, late edition? Who knows with Upper Deck? So many things were good about their last baseball set, but so many things were bad, too.

I do only have the 1989, but the guy sent me a picture of the 1990 Rickey as well. I'll post both pictures, but based on the scan, the 1990 looks pretty good.

Any idea if the Beckett poster is looking to selling some of the set? I'd be very, very interested in card # 169 Robby Thompson of the San Franciso Giants or any other card that has a cameo apperance of Robby Thompson.

I've sold a ton of 2010 ud, both hobby and blisters.
Also had several hot boxes w gu every pack and can't recall ever seeing one
