Jack Haley former Chicago Bull and Los Angeles Laker passed today. I enjoyed listening to him commentate during the late 90's and early 2000's. But most of all I liked him as a person. I only got to meet him one time and that was outside of his family restaurant in Sunset Beach, Ca. I was there walking in with my at the time girlfriend around 2004 and he was outside talking with someone. I had no idea it was his place and I said I know you, you are a commentator for the Lakers and used to play. He said, Yes that is correct. Have you been here before? I let him know it was our first time and he said well let me buy you guys a drink. This is my place. And I was pretty much floored. It was just a drink... No biggie right? Wrong, it was more than that, it was his willingness to interact with his patrons. I don't even recall what I ordered to drink. What I do recall is the conversation. We spoke for a good 15 mins about the Lakers and where they were at the time. Super nice guy and a class act.

I actually recently went back to his place, I didn't see him this time, but the food and atmosphere were still amazing.

For those who may get a chance to visit the area it is called Captain Jacks and it is in Sunset Beach.

Good evening all. Just got done with class for the evening. Got loaded up with a decent amount of homework for the week. The one thing I hate about night classes is that we get a lot of homework to due, with the entire week to do it. I like the classes that meet regularly since it helps me with my time management :lol: After class tomorrow morning I will be going home. We have family from Iowa that will be in town, and my mom offered to pay for my gas to get home and back so I could eat dinner with them. I'm not gonna pass up free gas and a free meal lol
