Out of '07, '08, or '09 Legendary Cuts, which one would you guys recommend? I'm looking to pick a couple of boxes up as a Christmas present for myself.

I bought a bunch of 06, but I suggest the early decade launch of legendary cuts.

I realize this wasn't in your original post, but either way over 85% of the time you'll have a negative ROI(granted this applies to any product you break).

2009, the mystery cuts are still valid, and I think it's the best looking of the bunch.

Don't get 07 even though it's the cheapest- it's the most unsatisfying break you will ever have- less game used than 08 or 09.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind buying 06 or earlier, but all of those are much harder to find at decent prices than the three years I listed.

My advice would be to take whatever money you allocated for the boxes and buy some singles on ebay. You're guaranteed to get a card you really want without feeling like you got kicked in the junk. And Leg cuts is definitely one of those products that knows how to kick some junk.

I'm a wax addict. I'll admit it. I'm kinda like Sonny Crockett with my hair all blowin in the wind as he's going to make a deal and then bust the bad guys. Yeah I've got that fire in my eyes whenever I see packs or boxes laying about. HOWEVER..............

As Labratt mentioned, this product is highly, highly lethal when it comes to gettin booted in the sack. I don't know what you collect, but this product has been seriously hit or miss with more whiffs coming at a frequency greater than Ryan Howard's WS strikeout record.

The fact that the game used sets got watered down from years past really doesn't do much for ME. The autographed CL from this year isnt too bad if you can hit an auto or a dual. The cut c/l has kinda gotten a lil rundown too in recent years because of all of the big names going exclusive with Topps.

If you have to go with wax instead of another product or singles, then I would say perhaps 09. But thats just me.
