Thanks, but I am not the genius who came up with the idea, that is ALL THE HYPE. Ask him how the first one went and how much he made.

He probably didn't bust a product like this with this number of slots with this much of a disparity between cost and return. And if he did, he sure wouldn't tell anyone how much profit he made, because then they wouldn't buy.

He busted 08 draft with a player draft, same thing essentially. I have talked to him about it, and youll see his response in a few.

he did 08 bdp with pretty much the same number of spots and it went crazy because it's such a large product
just stop talking about profit
we all know that profit is to be made, but that's their incentive. Ours is to pay $7 for a chance at a case worth of heyward
it's still a great deal for us, nobody cares about your thoughts on whether or not the pricing is reasonable, cause it is.

Wow. This is a messageboard, right? Since when do you get to decide who is and isn't allowed to express their opinion?

This dude is making a significant profit. I'm complimenting him on that. It's the best racket I've seen in a long time.

I am the one who did the 08 BDP break.

My break was never about making money, it was simply for the chance to have fun busting some wax (for free), even though I didn't get to keep any of the cards.

Before I say another word, let me emphasize the fact that I made a grand total of eleven dollars. Eleven. That was after putting up with the pain in the ass that the thread became with people arguing and complaining about every tiny little detail (kind of like you are doing right now), spending a solid two hours drawing the draft order, about two or three hours more actually busting the packs, and probably a good five hours sorting, packaging, and shipping.

So for approximately 8-10 hours of work, I made exactly eleven dollars. Don't talk to me about profit. If you really think that a break like this is the way to make money, you could not be more wrong. Go look at some of the team break numbers. Some (not all, but some) people charge too much for those slots and make a couple hundred dollars per break. How is that okay, but covering all expenses for a player break is not?

I'm not here to complain about team breaks and I'm not here to argue with people about this particular break. I'm simply stating that the price he has posted is DEAD ON for the expenses he will be faced with, so stop complaining about it.

And if anyone else has anything they want to complain about, just save your breath because it's not worth it. Doing a break like this is a ton of time and work and at the prices I charged and he is charging, there is no extra money floating around in the end.

If you don't like the prices or the way this break is set up, instead of coming in here and arguing and complaining, please just keep your mouth shut and go join a different break. You have no idea how difficult it is to manage something like this and whining about it only makes it more difficult for the break host.

See all the hype's post
It has nothing to do with expressing your opinion, you're more than welcome to do so. I just don't think it matters and it's useless to argue. He will make SOME money, and it's well deserving. I don't get why you keep posting here.

I'll take 11 slots. It's a genius business idea.

Maybe if you charge an extra dollar per slot.

If anything, the prices are slightly too low. I came very close to not having enough money to cover everything in my break. These prices are very close to the exact total of expenses. This break won't be making him much, if any, money at all. It's just a fun break for everyone and an affordable one for any of us who are participating.

Break that down for me then. I broke down the numbers already. Show me where I'm off. Where's the hidden cost I didn't account for?

Did I say it was?

As a matter of fact, did I ever say there was anything wrong with this guy in this break taking a couple hundred in profit? Some people might think so, but I'm in cards as a business. I'm all about profit and I don't mind if this guy makes a profit. If he makes a profit, then he's more likely to do it again and I get to play again. I just think it's funny how people act like this is a noble venture as if people are doing it as a selfless service instead of a way to make a few extra bucks and have some fun at the same time.

Who's complaining?

I'd like to see your math here. Exact math, not rounded numbers like the other guy claiming shipping is going to come to $5 a lot.

Who's complaining? As for arguing, it takes two to argue. I am not capable of arguing with myself.

Dude, I run a small business from my home. I break and ship, then break, then ship, then break, then ship. When I'm done with that, I break and ship some more. In my free time, I'm a commissioner of fantasy baseball and football leagues. So I am well aware of how long it takes to break, ship, and conduct drafts.

Re: 2007 BOWMAN CHROME DRAFT PLAYER DRAFT CASE BREAK!

in all honesty, i don't think he's bashing johan - the breaker - let's just move on and have a fun break. there might be some extra change for the breaker and i certainly don't mind and i know that most others don't.

those that do have a problem won't join!

plainwhitejerseys isn't trying to start a rumble. he was pointing out what was obvious TO HIM. let's have fun, move on!
