'07 Donruss EEE Chris Davis Auto Replacement PICS!!!

I just got the email from Panini this morning. I just submitted my Chris Davis Base Auto Redemption and was told they were out of stock. I was a little nervous, but they did ask me what players I like/collect. Of course being a Cubs fan I told them Josh Vitters. I was figuring I would get a base Auto back, but seeing how Chris Davis is ICE COLD and dropping daily I wouldn't be that unhappy. Anyways, I just received an email from them and they are sending me a Josh Vitters Red Status Auto #'d/50 and a Base Auto!!!!! Much happier with those replacement than the Davis Auto!!!! Just thought I would share. Scan will be up once the cards have been received. Thanks! Rob

Which player was originally going to be the redemption before it was changed to Davis, and what was it going to be numbered to? I'm curious as to how there weren't enough redeemed cards to go around, unless there were less than 374 of the original redemptions when the product first released.

DJ Strawberry and I don'y have the numbering on the original card. After talking with them it seems like there weren't enough Chris Davis stickers signed, but you know how info from CS reps can go.

They ran out of 2007 Elite Davis stickers a couple of months ago- I was waiting on 2 Base verisons as well and they upgraded me to 2 Blue Aspirations Auto's /100 instead. Glad I got rid of them immediately.

I really don;t understand how a company can run out of a serially #'d redemption, especially considering they're replacing it with a card that was pack-pulled and #'d to 50. This hobby kills me sometimes.

I'm not complaining, it could be worse. Topps sent me a replacement for a Michel Inoa Draft Refractor Auto. It was a Rich Hill & Josh Johnson Topps Finest Dual Auto. So for once, a replacement worked in my favor.
