09-10 Panini Photo Shoot Cards

There is one seller on ebay selling what appears to be the entire set of these cards as singles. He says that they were produced to be given to the actual players and never released in packs. Beckett doesn't even list these cards in their checklists, which makes me believe this story. I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm/deny the story on where these cards come from and how rare they are.

i would stay away... sad thing is that people will buy them, sign them, then sell them as real. equivalent to an unsigned topps photoshoot card, although these are much tougher to find

Those are real as the unsigned ones were supposedly given to the players. The signed ones are extremely rare as very few copies have ever surfaced and they are signed on card (if you ever see one of these I recommend you pick it up regardless of the player). The signed ones have an imprinted Panini Authentication stamp directly on the upper right hand corner of the card. No doubt thought that some blowhole will fake a signature and try and pass it off though.
