09/10 UD NBA?

Just got solicited for 2009-10 Upper Deck SP Game-Used Basketball cards. Anyone know how this is possible? My understanding is that only Panini has the rights to make 09/10 NBA cards. Any insight would be appreciated!

No logos. No different than Donruss making MLB product and just not using logos.

Airbrush out the C and the NBA Logo on the shorts/socks and I think images like this work:

I just recently saw the Sp Authentic sell sheet too and my question is how in the world are they promoting a Logoman set as the main chase cards?

Since they have no NBA license I'm not sure how they can get away with a card that is the NBA logo? And since they just released the info I have to assume the sell-sheet was created knowing they no longer have the league rights. Thought that was interesting. (Also saw alot of patch cards, and wondering if any patches with team logos is a no-no too)


Also will be interested to see how their products sell. I know in the Draft Sell-sheet they were pushing big time that they will still be including Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, etc. autos.....so I'm guessing there hope is that their exclusives will continue to move product.

There is a deadline for UD to stop making cards which is in October. 09/10 UD is coming out in like July.

Looks like that will be the only product that I would be interested in if I collected basketball cards. The first and last quality licensed product of the year, unless UD releases more product before October.

I can almost guarantee that UD will release an 2009/10 Exquisite and a few other high-end products to rid themselves of some Jordan, Kobe and LeBron sticker autos before filing for bankruptcy in early 2010. LOL.
