1 box (pack) 2008 Ultimate and 1 box of Sweet Spot..

So I stopped by the card shop on the way home to get some bubble mailers (he orders in bulk so I get them cheap)..

Well, I was talking to him about the Sweet Spot and if anyone had opened any.. he said that after the 2007 debacle with the faded auto's he only ordered 2 boxes and the other box had a Derek Lee auto redemption and some regular game used cards.. nothing big.. He also had a box of Ultimate sitting there.. I hadn't picked anything up for a few weeks, so decided to open the Ultimate.. Here are the scans from that box..

Since that was a decent hit, I decided to open the Sweet Spot.. I pulled the packs out and since there is only one auto, I put the heaviest pack off to the side since I knew the tin was in it..

When I looked at the leather, it looks wavy like the game used balls, or they cut up a ball that already had an auto on it..

i'm about 90% sure that they use game used baseballs on the 1/1 autographs in sweet spot. i've read somewhere that this is the case. if i can find it again, i'll forward it to you.

I opened a few of these and the tins never had anything but a GU in them. Was that the case for you also?

I bought a hobby box which was sealed and there was only 1 tin with the Sweet Spot Auto in it.

The other packs were just small cardboard boxes with the sealed pack inside..
