I opened one case of Draft plus 1 box purchased separately. Overall I am happy with the break as I certainly beat the odds with my hits even if the biggest hits were not star rookies or top prospects. I had a major QC issue in the case which I am contacting Topps about.
So in reverse order, the Ugly, the Bad and the Good
Ugly:
All of the prospects base cards had vertical lines/scratches on them. They are very fine lines but very obviously there. There are no such lines on the base prospects in the 1 box outside of the case. I would not sell or trade these cards as they are clearly damaged. So for 12 boxes that about 75 cards per box that I want to be replaced by Topps. The normal procedure for sending in cards for replacement says only 25 per request but that's not gonna fly in this case as I'd have to make 36 requests at substantial cost in time and shipping. So we'll see what happens on the phone when I call them as the email to Topps support hasn't netted a response yet.
Bad:
Collation was not so good. I was only able to reach 1 complete set of the chrome prospects on my last box of the case. There were a couple cards in both the rookies and prospects chromes that were much harder pulls than one would expect across a whole case.
Good:
I did very well in terms of colored autos with 1 red, 1 orange, 3 blues and 3 refractors. I pulled an Aflac from the 1 box purchased separately so that was clearly great luck. Also pulled an aflac in the case and 3 USA autos. For non-auto color I pulled an orange prospect, orange USA, some nice blues. My luck was really good in terms of rare refractors even if the players weren't the big names as I got 1 red rookie refractor, 1 red prospect refractor and 1 rookie superfractor.
I was able to buy pretty low as well so even with the damaged prospects base I came out ahead.
