Is that Patel guy one of the people the Pirates signed from India??? I can't imagine he'll ever actually amount to anything, but it's kind of a cool story behind the card!! I may have to 'chase' it, or keep an eye out on the 'bay!

Wait a minute, spending $50 a pack (or whatever) to find this card would be ludicrous... I just bought it for $1.85 on ebay :D Kind of a neat addition, I guess.

Patel's wikipedia entry:

Dinesh Patel (born Lucknow, India, May 8, 1989) is a right-handed baseball pitcher playing in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Along with Rinku Singh, he is the first Indian national ever to sign a contract with a major American sports club.[1]

Patel and Singh had never thrown a baseball before besting over 37,000 competitors in The Million Dollar Arm, an Indian reality television show designed to find new baseball talent.[2]

Never even thrown a baseball before the show?? Ha!! Absurd that this guy is included in a high end product... Now I just gotta track down an auto of the other guy, Singh... for some reason his cards are selling for a bit more.

What is Patel doing pulling apart a marshmallow?

I think it's a roll of tape, but it does kind of look like that.
