I usually have a go at a Tribute box each year; I was a bit hesitant this year as some of the breaks I saw were brutal; thought I did ok;

My thoughts...

1. Sucks you got so many redemptions
2. That Jeter does look crazy sweet!
3. What's stopping anyone from rubbing dirt or anything on a memorabilia card? Lol

Disclaimer: I am not implying #3 was done but it does make you think

I've been surprised that there is not a ton more "fake" dirt patch cards out there. That Jeter does look great congrats! Not only it has dirt, but it's a nice size piece with a nice pinstripe.

Because you would get dirt all over the edges of the window that is cut for the jersey piece.

You're delusional, sorry. Not that I would do this or even know exactly how (because it's F'ed up) but I'm sure if I really wanted to fake a memo card with dirt or blood on it, I could figure it out no problem.

Thanks for all the comments; great discussion on the GU card(s). I love the Jeter card and was totally shocked when I pulled it; couldn't believe how dirty it was. Probably will keep this one for my PC as it's the 1st GU card I have seen like this.

On the price point; I got a fairly good deal thru my LCS; picked it up for $279; however, I think this years Tribute is over priced compared to past years.

The price has dropped roughly $60 since it's release. Unfortunately, I picked up a box on the release date. My bad for assuming that this year's product would rival last years.
