How come Howard who knows everything about sport memorabilia is not on FCB??????

If they are from the '60's '70's and '80's how in the hell are you going to have a rookie card of Sandy Koufax??? Nice job HOWARD!!!!

Barry Bonds rookie valued @ $50....HAHAHAHA!

lol good video! Hopefully he finds something good in there, but it doesn't look good when the 2 things he took out was 1987 topps and something from 1992.

As long as all those are from the mid 70s to recent, anyone with good knowledge of the hobby can go through it all in a day or so.

As soon as you open monster box lids & see its from the late 80s, close it up. Bam, 5k cards checked in 2 seconds.

On the last part, they had switched to a 1992 set, so he wasn't talking about the 1987 set being worthless.
Regardless, that whole video made me cringe. Whoever that "expert" was, was clueless. And why wouldn't he want to search through a mountain of mystery cards? Any collector would love to spend hours searching for potential '60s Mantles, Aarons, Mays, Koufax and Rose cards.
They kept repeating that it would take months or years to search through all those cards. What an embarrassing joke that show is.

I absolutely would but I'd be willing to bet that 99% of those cards are late 80s-early 90s and there's only so much reminiscing that can be done before looking at the same cards worth absolutely nothing gets sickening. I'm always suspicious of lots like these as well because it's not as if the seller wouldn't recognize the big-name cards and keep them in a box with all the commons. Judging by the fact that he had a box labeled with the Bonds rc tells me he had already sorted through them when cards started be viewed as valuables worth "investing" in.

At least the guy selling them was realistic with his price expectations of around $400. I was half expecting the guy to expect $15,000 or something like that. Someone who's got a place to store that could easily make their money back + some if they got it $400. There are still TONS of people out there that think those cards are worth something and wouldn't bat an eye to take it off his hands for $800 or so.

I would of bought that for $700 just to take the gamble. One or two cards could pay for it. Or they are all 90's crap lol..it's like buying collections off of Craig's List.

Funny how the guy "just opened up the packs then put the cards in boxes" and says he doesn't even know what's there, yet there's the '87 Bonds in a sleeve at the front of a box.

Gotta like the story of the guy who bought them. If it were me, my wife would say, "You sold off your cards to buy me sonething? Great! Less junk in the closet!" :D

Pretty cool to see a GT guy win the auction (my alma mater). Hopefully, he gets his money's worth in a few gems. Otherwise, he just bought himself a $700 headache/heartache.
