I will probably try to get the Missouri one, and possibly Florida. I'd go after the whole map if I had the money.

I'm on the fence about the New Mexico one - cool idea, horrible relic - something from the indian wars WTF that means.

I personally would have put a swatch of hot air balloon envelope fabric there since we have the largest balloon fiesta in the world held each October. Plus, I can't figure out how you would incorporate my other relic thought of Hatch green chile into the card unless you embed a capsule of crushed dried green chile or green chile seeds.

Over under on the number of complete sets brought to Blowout table in first 30 minutes of the National to get a shot at the 5 grand bounty. My guess is 3.... any FCB media gonna be keeping track that are gonna be on hand at the national opening?
Have any states no been seen yet on ebay???

I do like the rule that they are accepting all sets for the first 30 minutes then having a draw for the winner. I could just see a couple Ginter freaks sprinting to blowout table or crashing the line to get in first. I can just picture Gilmore in dead sprint with FCB press pass bowling over anyone insight to get the 5k bounty...
Here is rule...
Blowoutcards $5000 Allen & Ginter Bounty Exchange Rules

In order to protect the safety of all people that may attempt to be the
first to offer Blowout Cards a state Relic set for the Bounty of $5000,
and to protect the integrity of the promotion, Blowout Cards will allow
a 30 minute time frame from the point that the National opens to the
general public on Thursday 8/4 at 10 am, in which people may offer their
complete state relic set. During this 30 minute time-frame, all people that offer a
complete set will be considered among the first to offer the set for the
$5000 bounty. Each of these people will have an equal chance to exchange
their set for $5000.

Anybody got in progress map working on them. Seems a few states are bringing big $. Would be cool if at the National if Blowout does does get a person or persons selling to collect the bounty. Would a full set carry a premium over selling individual cards one by one? Might be a rare case where full set would bring more than breaking it up.

slette, that was a pretty insensitive remark

I'd like to apologize to any Amish people I may have offended. I'd also like to know what you're doing on a computer right now.

Very cool idea, but I did not know that some of the cards featured more than one state. Wonder why they didn't go with a card per state??

Minnesota ended for just under $40. Beat out my max of $8
Man, i am all for you getting your state puzzle piece but when they all sell for $30 or more you are going to have to exercise your bid finger a bit.

size issues on doing a map puzzle.

Easier this way for people to try and complete it and collect the 5k bounty from BO.

I didn't have the money. I didn't want to win it and then not pay for it.

If I had the money I would grab that in a heartbeat.

Topps phoning it in? ::facepalm::

Certainly with some thought, they could figure out what relic they could put with states that didn't get their own card. I certainly don't believe there might be enough boring states that you can't figure out some relic to use.

Because Rhode Island isn't big enough for a relic let alone a serial number.

Wonder if anybody has completed it. I could see somebody at the National feverishly looking for final pieces to try and collect the BO bounty in first half hour of the National. Would be nice if BO has up a web cam on their booth so people can see the maps and how many come to collect the 5 grand.

Because of this thread, I've started a Minnesota PC. Picked up a few of the 1888 Ginters to show off once they're in hand. I'm thinking about puting all the states and territories together. Cool to have something thats about 20 years removed from the civil war, and only around 20 years after my home state was actually an official state.

I am yet to make another Tennessee purchase but have been looking up other sets with a card representing the home state.

Does anyone know of a good resource to find state card checklists?

I'm going to look into. See what I can find.

Anyways, these were in the mailbox today. My scanner got confused with the capitol card due to the plastic lining in the slab, but it'll work for now:

I don't believe Topps phoned anything in on this one. Sure, they could have made something for the smaller states but, in order for the map to be proportionate, they had to do it this way.
