I will say that I really like this product and have already ordered another box.
You get 3 autographs per box and a card numbered to 1948 in each pack (some of the rookies are numbered to 2009). 24 packs of 8 cards per pack, per box. These are running around $65 box delivered.
The base set is 100 cards, which I got in one box, plus many extras. There are 80 current players and 20 retired in the base set.
There are 7 play cards, that are SP, numbered 115-121.
There are 14 rookie cards that are SP, numbered 101-114.
I got 4 blue bordered SP cards, which included Hansbrough, Holiday, Jennings and Screen Play.
I got 4 white bordered SP cards, which includedThabeet, Curry, Evans and Single Cut (don't know what the difference is in white and blue bordered yet, as all are numbered on the back.)
Autographs:
Andrew Bynum
Dwanye Wade
Dominique Wilkins

That's strange. It seems to me that there is atleast one Dominique Wilkins auto in every other box. Anyways, I like the look of the auto'd cards, but those up close rookie cards look weird to me. Are all of the base cards like that?

They only did the rookie cards like that. I guess they were trying to show as little of their college uniforms as possible. The regular cards are action shots with a totally red or blue background, like the autographed cards. They were trying to get the look of the original 1948's.

x2

I was like that's incredible - I've never even seen one whole box of '48 Bowman being busted, much less two of them.

I think this product has great long-term potential. The autorgaph checklist is strong and the secondary-market prices for the autographs are surprisingly low.

My thinking is that Topps Signature may have temporarily killed the market prices for guys like Bird, Magic and Russell; however, at some point, people will realize just how cheap autographed cards of these legends are and then the prices will run back up.

Now that Topps wont be making any more basketball product, the 09-10 products may end up being good long-term holds.

Good point!
Topps will probably be trying to use up all of their stickers.

I did a box of this today too. Just for fun. The secondary market on the autos is very very bad. Even the one's #'d to 48 can be had for a couple of bucks on some of the guys! Amazing to me.

Anyway, my box had Rose, Wade and Lee autos with a Bosch #d /48. I thought - hey that's decent. Until I saw the market on them.

This is definitely a cheaper fun break, especially for getting three autos, but if you are busting to sell or hit something for your collection, don't bother. You are better off just buying what you are looking for on the secondary market as singles are dirt cheap on everything, including the best of the best autos.
