first off there will never be another michael jordan, secondly YES he can take over a game whenever he wants, hes done it so many times its not even worth mentioning all the games, hell he single handely took the lakers over houston in game two, and how would you know he doesnt get along with his teamates....THE MEDIA?? haha of course they always try to make something up about star players, just watch the games and you will understand what kind of respect they have for him. They are just playing bad right now, plain and simple

The Lakers and Rockets series is Over. The way the Lakers handled them with Yao was bad enough and now Yao is out.

EAT EM.....EEEEEAAAAAATTTTT EMMMMMM!!!! :lol: How do those word's taste? I'm lovin' how our fast paced offense really changed the tempo of the game! Without Yaouch lugging around like an oak that's been rooted for hundred's of year's, our Rockets are showing some blazing speed (I'm liking this type of offense, it's very refreshing to what we're used to seeing)! Maybe, just maybe, if we can pull this out; the "higher-up's" in the organization will decide to cut ties with the "anchor's" that are holding us down (McPayme & Yaouch)?!?! As said in the other thread by ProspectorsA, maybe building the team around Artest isn't such a bad idea? We've got several GREAT looking player's in A.Brooks, Scola, & Landry (& Wafer/Lowry look pretty solid as role player's)! Anyhow, I'm pretty shocked but am VERY HAPPY to see we may just have a shot at this thing (if anything, this has got to be an eye-openner to the Laker's & all of the doubter's- basically everyone thought the Rockets were automatically done when news of Yaouch hit the fan).... We'll see...

He looked tired twice in the Jazz series and they luckly won one and lost one. He has looked tired twice in this series, in game one and this game. In both game 1 and todays He Tried to take over and could not It was plain and simple. He wanted to take over game one as you could see it in his eyes and yet failed. Same thing with today and same thing Last year in the Finals. He already proved he could not take over a finals game man!!! Look Kobe is good but if, if they make it to the finals Lebron is going to eat him up.

gotta agree with that man, i always felt yao kind of slowed down that team, i definately never counted rockets out, i figured it was going to be a pretty tight series.

I dont know what games you were watching but yes he tried to take over especially in game 1 at your guy's place. I now do not think they will get past Denver as Denver is playing better than the Rockets and have all their player on the floor. Still a lot more final so I guess we will see what happen. :lol: Im watching espn and Magic Johnson said this was an embarrassment and he was embarrassed. I agree with Magic, when you have a "so called best player" on your team you do not lose this game.

Have you read Phil Jacksons Book? How ever they get along with him now is unknown but what is very obvious is that they do not have respect for the guy because if they did they would have showed up. Eddie House has taken over a game, Jamal Crawford of the Knicks has taken over a game. Im saying he cannot take over a game when he wants as he has tried twice in this series and couldnt. Also I never said Kobe was not a good player? I dont think the Lakers would be better without Kobe (Right now) but then again who knows. Oh I have never heard D-fish say that Kobe was the best player in the game, I could be wrong though. I guess it doesnt really matter as realistically Lebron has taken over the league and is now truly the best player in the game. That cannot be denied.

Look for as much as I dislike Kobe before this game I had them in the finals against the Cavs or ( Celtics ) regardless of my view on him as he is a great player (GULP Hard to say that) but they will not win a championship playing like this. This is not new and it is not something that is going to go away. Their wake up call was last year when the Celtics wooped them!! They have not addresses anything IMO. I now do not think they will make it to the final and the guy you have to blame is your Star "Kobe Bryant". They have a good enough team to get there so its not like he doesnt. Like I said there are still alot of Playoffs left and as worng as I had the Lakers winning the next 2 games against the Rockets I could be completly wrong about the Lakers but I just have a gut feeling they will not get to the final this year.

But then who do you blame?? Kobe has to be the one to get the best out of these guys and he is not doing it yet. Look at Bynum? Is Kobe still sore that people think Shaq was the main reason the Lakers won those championships and not him? Maybe he is afraid that Bynum gets going and is not doing anything to motivate him because if he does it will take away from Kobe's spot light and Bynum will get more attention. Look Im reaching here a bit :lol: but it is a little weird that Bynum has not player well or looked motivated what so ever. Bynum is supposed to be good? I just dont see who else you blame on that team but Kobe as he is their best player.

LOL. Your right the best player on the planet is on the celtics, well at least according to Paul Pierce. Jordan never got beat in games, never got contained. Being expected to score 40 everytime shows you what type of player Kobe is. I can't say I expect anyone on the celtics to score 30 every game.... In fact the only other player in the league you expect that from is Lebron James and maybe Dwyane Wade. The Lakers played a bad game on the road, got out hustled got out hearted. Luckily it is a 7 game series and were coming home. IIRC, the Hawks took the celtics to 7 last year, and the cavs took the celtics to 7, turned out well for them.

Oh btw you say Kobe is not doing it, best look at his PPG/APG/RPB in the playoffs this year before you run that comment. Before the game started he was scoring 35.5 per game in the semis and 30.3 for the entire playoffs. Thats getting it done IMO.

First Jordan Never Lost in the finals or Playoffs in his prime. Also What did Kobe score today?? Jordan never got beat as bad as kobe, Jordan never got contained as much as kobe, so with that said no comparision!!! He (Kobe) cannot score 40 every night. Kobe is not the Best player on the planet that now belongs to Lebron. Also as I recall Paul Pierce Smoked Kobe last year in the Final so yes he was the best player on the Planet.
