1973 Topps PSA/DNA Authentication from Sept. arrived today

First a couple off of Ebay (the autos looked good so I didn't have a problem buying them raw)

Next a couple I got TTM, the first was c/o a Card Store in Vegas for free

The next was also for free c/o the team he works for ... that being said, it is still believed to be secretarial, so I don't know what to make of it

It's incredibly disappointing to see the Aaron come back authentic. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind the TTM returns are ghost signed. If one is able to pass authentication, there is a good chance they all can, saturating the the population of Aaron PSA/DNA authenticated cards with secretarial sigs.

With that said, some very nice cards there, including the Rose. Good luck with the rest of the set.

I also have my doubts that the Aaron is not from him. Especially since it was recently obtained.

Had it been from at least 10 years ago, there's a chance it's legit, albeit not overly likely.

Thanks for the welcome Scott, and I happy I could help out on the set. I do have to say that like the rest are saying, the Aaron really does look off, and am sad to see that PSA/DNA would have authenticated it. I'll try to get up a scan of one that I just got back from the recent Steiner private signing for comparison.

To some extent, I can see why the Aaron came back authentic. The is very similar to earlier Aaron examples. However, they are nowhere close to his current autograph. Unfortunately, PSA has no way of knowing how/when the autograph was obtained. Even those these secretarial TTM returns are almost certainly not authentic, I think we will be seeing quite a few of these being authenticated in the coming years, especially if Hank's health takes a downturn.
