Yes Very Serious and to me the Shiny Trophy Matters. I dont think he will win the Mvp let along the GG. I think Ellsbury, Austin Jackson and Span are better and more proven than Trout in center. With that said I would Take Lynn First, then Ichiro, then Trout.
We will see what happens at the end.

You mean the guy that has been sitting out over half the year thus far?

IF you don't take discount Ichiro being a "Veteran" rookie, then he wins this one IMO.

His impact on the Game and his team was, and is still, just unbelievable. The other two guys elevated already very talented teams but "Ich" almost single-handedly rebuilt the M's after all their Superstar defections and his Defense was absolutely one of his biggest assets.

I'd take Trout 2nd assuming he continues a similar pace...

I think the above statement is accurate! Freddy came along and was crushing it. You have Trout but he has alot of help. The line-up is fierce. Everyone can mash in the Angels line -up . Trout will see far better pitches to hit than Lynn saw coming up.

The '74 Red Sox were a pretty darn good team. Yes, Lynn had a great year, but he didn't lift a bunch of Dogs to a Pennant either.

Also, you do realize the '75 Sox had 3 HOFers in the lineup at different points in that season, right? And Evans, a young Cecil Cooper, Burleson and Tony C. All at least All-Star caliber players who helped them Sweep the 3-time champs and take the "Machine" to 7 games.

With the exception of Edgar Martinez (possible HOFer), Ichiro took a pretty lousy line-up, energized it with his hits, speed and D, helping a pretty average Staff to 116 wins.

Ichiro had a lot less help and did more to get his team to the post-season than the other two IMO...

For as many hits as Ichiro had, Lynne OBP was 20 points higher and Trouts is almost 30 points higher. Ichiros hits were mostly singles were Lynne and Trout hit a ton of extrabase hits. Their run production is far more valuable to their teams than Ichiros hits and stolen bases. And that lousy lineup had Mike Cameron, Brett Boone, John Olerud as well as Martinez, that is hardly a lousy line up. They also led the league in ERA that year.
