I had a chance to get basically the entire Clark run of Donruss and Leaf from 88-91 but couldn't pull the trigger. He was asking $100 or so a card.

Neat item at $10 but wasn't sure how many sheets could have been made in the paper stock.

I agree. For $1K, I really don't care who's slab it's on, no way... More for you guys because I wouldn't even pull the trigger for $100.

Of all the stupid stuff out there, these paper proofs are the most stupid. I would not buy my player for $5 let alone $100 or $250...it's a joke, and the fact that Becket graded them makes me think even less of them than I already did. There is no difference between these and the front peel being taken off a Finest card and calling them "Finest Proofs"...I don't care what story was made up about the paper proofs...it just sounds ridiculous: "paper" proofs...what a joke.

I understand some of what your saying, but the legit ones are proofs in that some have actual marks of what Donruss liked/disliked Nd some have different images that were never used. So there is some history behind the originals, just not at a huge price. I've seen some Barry Larkins sell at $150, Eddie Murray $75, a Ripken around $150 etc so there is some market
