Recently found a Griffey jr rated rookie and the e in his name was misprinted. How common is this? does it add any value to the card?

That sold listing didn't mention any difference with the "e" though. So if you list it as a variation (and it seems like a legit variation) then maybe it will fetch more.

Sometimes even spotting these takes a deliberate search. I know there are errors that sat undiscovered for a while until someone scoured cards with a magnifying glass and hours upon hours of nothing else to do.

These things always excite specific player collectors but rarely yield fortunes. Most are more common when you start looking for them, sometimes they turn into a very rare and highly desirable variation.
