I read that Meulens was a hitting coach with the Giants during three seasons when they won the world series. So I'm sure getting rid of him will be just what the doctor ordered.

At least you'll get to see the Mets win a game in Denver here in a few weeks. If you're a betting man, you know, maybe lay a few bucks on it

Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about those new unis. Kinda cool? Kinda too hip? Kinda too Miami Beach? I just dunno.

But I do know one thing for a fact. The Rockies did NOT lose tonight! Yeah!

Their game was postponed. We had snow here all day. But a day without a Rockies loss is a win baby!

I get what you mean. In a vacuum its a great jersey, but for COL its probably a bit off. Too over the top for COL, but maybe a little too plain for Miami.

Good news. The Rockies did not lose today!

Their game against KC was postponed.

In other news they still sit at 4-18, a .182 winning percentage. And still have the worst run differential in MLB at -52, which is a full 19 runs worse than the White Sox.

At what point do you just sign Paxton, Porcello, A-Rod, Kiermayer and just have some fun? A lot of the recently retired guys can't do much worse, and maybe the hitters would even do better going to Coors.

Well, they now stand at 4-20 on the season after getting swept in a doubleheader against KC. If they keep up this pace they'll end up at 27-135.

Of course they'll eventually win more than 27 games, but it's "interesting" to think about. At 27 wins, that would represent the second worst season in the history of baseball.

This team is so toothless I'm wondering now if Big Dumper can hit more HR than the Rockies will get wins. Currently he has a 10-4 lead, but being a catcher I'd imagine he will need more rest days during the later part of the season.

I just looked up that team. It seems Rick Face had a really dreadful season... plus daddy got fired after only 6 games!

Rick Face really wasn't an MLB hitter. I always found that fascinating how two brothers - not too far apart in age - could be so wildly different in their abilities at the same thing.

But then again, I think of my own family and it starts to make sense. I have relatives who are just outstanding at life, and those who are utterly incompetent at literally everything. Human beings man, human beings. Endlessly fascinating!

But back to the Rox. Their start to the 2025 season is the 4th worst in the wild card era (post 1995, through 25 games). That's really something, you know?
