Well I was finally able to finish the checklist for this set. The set was printed using 2 different 132 card sheets, which would give 264 cards, but 4 of the cards have the same player on both sides and end up getting double printed in the Test set. The sheets used in the Blue/White Test also include all 50 of the double printed cards from the regular set, causing 32 other cards to be double printed in the Test set, for a total of 36. So in actuality there are 228 cards for this set. Every card does have an inverse of itself, as in: Nolan Ryan (King of Kings) / Ozzie Guillen (DK) can be found with Ryan on the Blue side with Guillen on the White side, as well as vice versa, Guillen on the blue and Ryan on the white.

I feel that there are probably only about 3 copies of each card that exist, which would mean that 6 copies of each of the double prints would exist.

If you use this checklist on your site, it would be nice if I could get some credit for developing this checklist... I've been working on it for awhile!

Dang...two Gwynns...(heavy sigh)

Tell me about it... I was both excited and saddened to find out there was actually an inverse for my Ripken. Even worse... his Bonus MVP card is in the Red/Red Test... I'll have a checklist for that set tomorrow hopefully!

Now I just need to find the Pucketts.

Judging from the prices that other stars sold for back in November, you'll pay a pretty penny for them! I've seen the Puckett that is on the white side as a single, but only recently saw that Puckett exists on the blue side as well, but it's on the uncut sheet that has recently been discovered.

I picked up the Kingery/Maldonado cards for my player collection a while back and I had to pay through the nose (in relation to the players) to get them.

Totally worth it though, since those are probably the hardest Kingery cards to obtain.

I picked up my Ripken for fairly cheap compared to recent prices, but that was about 10 years ago now. I don't think I will have the same luck if the inverse with Ripken on the blue side comes up for sale/auction as a single...

Yeah it will be very expensive to say the least. I know of a collect that has a Puckett white/Sax blue but I have only seen pictures. I am sure that would be expensive if one ever became available.

How did you verify the inverse exists? Have you seen examples of all, or going by what sheet placement should dictate?

Never seen a Grace White Side / Anderson Blue Side.

From this video (and yes the :50 mark makes me cringe):

Hard to see everything on there from the low quality, but here's a spreadsheet of every card on that sheet:

Cool video. I wonder what the guy has planned for it? He could probably make mint if he had it cut up professionally.

He says he plans to auction that and the Red/Red sheet that he has. I think having it cut would be the better bang for the buck, but either way it should bring some good cash. If it's cut I hope the Ripken singles will show up for auction :)

Do you happen to know when I where (eBay?) he plans to list? Does he only have a sheet of each? Does he have both runs? And do you think the Red is as Rare as his statement in his title is?

Thanks
Ryan

Thanks
Ryan

He just said in the next week or so he plans to auction them. I've messaged him to get more details but haven't heard back yet.

As far as the Red/Red set, I really don't know much about it. I would say they are slightly rarer. This past summer when all the Blue/White and Aqueous cards went up for sale was the first time I had seen the Red/Red test cards. Then in November a few more turned up. He did have as many as 3 of one card, but some of those may have been double prints. From the checklist of 50 cards I was able to make, it appeared only one sheet was used and the same sheet was printed both front and back (which is why there were several cards with the same player on the front and back). The sheet this guy has though doesn't seem to be the same as the other singles though.

Ok, thanks for the info. Good work on compiling this list. I have never gone after the Clark's as I just felt were more than thought out there (as you know a large amount went up within the year), but I'll have to breakdown one day.

From what I've seen currently I don't think there are more than 3-4 of each card (except for the double prints). I know of 2 other Ripkens like mine, and know who owns them, but have never seen more. The blue Ripken on the sheet is the first I have seen, along with many others like the Puckett, McGwire, 2 Ryans, etc. But as we saw last year with the Aqueous Test cards, there could be a few more in hiding.
