So jealous of this thread.
::facepalm:: I'm a failure of player collector.

The Ripken was THE most expensive one ever- I think it was booking or selling for over two grand at one point in time.

I owned one back in 1996, wish I still had it...

They've come down ALOT.
Most sell in the $200-$400 range. Depending on condition.
There has been 2 listed in the $550 BIN range for Months now. Way too high.

[quote="Jack Straw":3hc6c9kn]I would love a Griffey but just don't have the money :(

Soem guy back in the end of 05 early 06 was unloading a ton of Griffeys. I think he wound up listing atleast 10 of them. I snagged one for right around 200, maybe 210 total.

I remember that it seemed like he had an endless supply. At that point I had a PSA 8 for I think 300, Magic would know better
because I bought it off him. Well I ended up selling off some Griffeys about 6 months later. I basically disappeared for 2 years.
No Ebay or message boards. I rejoined about 8 or 9 months ago and havn't had the money to buy another one.[/quote:3hc6c9kn]
yea it was prolly somewhere around 300 heres the pic, i bought it from george back on the old beckett board

Think this is a PSA9, don't remember though

I hope John is around, he's got probably the largest single collection of a player of these, all Mcgwire.

Yeah I want to say he had between 20-30 of these. He changed his email address and we haven't heard from him since so I can't ping him. He's got some really interesting cards in his collection and quite a bit of information about them that I never knew until I talked to him.

Diggin all the cards guys! I had a Bonds and Mattingly that I sold off when they really started getting hot again, but I'm content with the pair of Pucketts I've got now

I want to add that republicanmass ran him off for no reason. Everytime he posted it was like he was followed
by him with some junk.
