I have never seen any 93 silvers but there are 92 Topps silvers.

i do not think they are faded. i put a gold in the sun for a week and the whole card faded bad but still had gold foil. i was not the first to find these,i thought they were faded when i first heard about them until i had one in hand.
card on the left is the silver. even the topps gold logo is silver. cards were scanned together side by side

I have several 1993 Topps gold cards that look more bronze than gold, but I don't have any I would call silver.

I recall hearing about those way back then. There might've been a reader letter about them in one the magazines. IIRC, they just theorized a sheet of silver foil was accidentally slipped into the stamper. As a printing variation, like cards that are missing foil entirely, it's just one of those things, might be compelling to some people, might not. But different foil is much nicer than no foil.
