Lemme guess, you found that on Beckett within the last week! I stumbled on the Alomar from the same set. So how does a set from 19 years ago avoid notice by a myopic player collector like me? Google was no help either. There's a little about the 1998, but almost nothing about 1997. Hope somebody here can shed a little light...

The team set sold on eBay (see link) and the items are listed on Beckett (see link) so I'm suprised they aren't on your guys lists. Who know when Beckett added to the lists though. At least thats info for the 1997. Not sure what the Standard is referencing as 1998.

I'm surprised too! The 1997 set is in Beckett now, but it wasn't a few months ago, and there's still no mention of 1998. The Standard has 1998 listed but not 1997 - and pics show that they are definitely different card designs. Tradingcarddb.com and baseballcardpedia.com don't have either 1997 or 1998.

These sets are in realm of the seriously obscure. Some Orioles junkie needs to tell us what's what.

I haven't been on beckett for a number of years. Frankly, they are the last I think of when I have a question about cards. Of course I got on there tonight when I clicked on Ryan's reply to find out that I have the 28 cards set.
