That be Great, Its Just Odd of All The Hard Core Player Collectors Here The Mystery Isn't Solved Yet.......To self-promote here, this will make a great article for my COMC Challenge series on Sports Collectors Daily. If anyone with scans would like to send them to my personal email ([email protected]) I'll run with this to an even wider audience to help solve this mystery.

Have we found any more examples or info on this set?
Yes They Did, Maybe Topps Didnt Get The OK On The Name Mint Because Of That, So Topps Made Topps Stars in 1997
did see this on the web seaching.............1997 Topps Stars was released in late 1997
Interesting. I'd love to find that article.Topps Stars N Steel was released in 1998 & 1999. Magic's 1997 Topps Mint Griffey is apparently a preview/promo/sample of the upcoming/delayed 1998 Topps Stars N Steel due to the 1997 Pinnacle Mint. I vaguely remember an article in Beckett, Tuff Stuff, Baseball Cards Magazine or SCD back in the day.
Interesting. I'd love to find that article.
For those of you who have them, are they made of metal like Stars N Steel? The surface looks different, for sure.
Mine has the look and feel of 1998 Stars N Steel Gold inserts.
I dont own a Gold Stars&Steel, but the look/feel the same to meInteresting. I'd love to find that article.
