no idea.................... 1997 Topps Mint prolly got scraped because of Pinnacle Mint having that name in 1997, so was renamed in 1998 as Stars and Steel.............. as far as I can see

That is what happened with 1991 fleer elite. It became 1991 fleer ultra.

It's possible, but being early enough in production, I woulda thought they coulda changed it up and still packed out in 97. Like Tanner mentioned in 91 or Leaf R&S in 98 with name changes. Who knows though I guess.

Stumbled upon this thread after I saw [MENTION=1759]magicpapa[/MENTION] showing off that beautiful Griffey in another thread. Was there ever resolution as to what these cards were, and more important who owns the giant stack of Griffey's and could they be talked into selling one?
