Picked this box up from E-Bay for around $30, nice jog down memory lane, I busted a tons of series 1 when this came out in order to have cards for through the mail efforts. I also loved the Willie Mays reprints.

Box contents: 36 packs, 11 cards per pack.

Nothing too special in the base cards.

The inserts:
Season's Best (1:6):

Nice break. I don;t think the Mays is a mis-cut though.

Thanks, the card is missing the top border, doesn't seem OC since the bottom border isn't huge. Great looking card in person though.

It's a 1954 Topps reprint. All 54 Topps didn't have the top border.

Thanks for the great info on the Mays, now I don't feel so bad about it missing the border.

Topps today isn't as fun to break as it was ten years ago. I think almost all '90s inserts were way more interesting than today's stuff. Congrats on the fun break!

Was the lumber card curling?

I had bought a pack a few years ago and pulled a Caminiti and it was very curled.

Yes the lumber card was curled pretty bad, even in the pack. I now have it between a couple of top loaders, under a couple of books hoping to keep it from curling further.

Those are awesome cards. It's nice to see those older cards with the protection haha.
