I got this one graded earlier this year... at the time the pop was 2, but now it's three. One just sold and the other is for sale on ebay.

Collecting Rusty Greer can get boring, so I hoard my favorite issues.

Back in the day the Rusty collectors needed the Crusade Red but some guy outta Taiwan bought the one that surfaced for over $300 at auction. Back then you could message buyers (as a 3rd party) so we talked to him to see if we had unearthed another Rusty collector. He said he just wanted to have one... argh!

I was out of the hobby for nearly ten years. When I came back I was lurking in forums and performing searches. I found a post where I guy was joking about "don't make me bust out my Rusty Crusade Red!" I messaged him and he still had it. I offered $85 and he accepted. I think I have three now.

I was on COMC that momentous night when the Executive Proofs hit. I got the Purple and Green. I left the Red and my nemesis got it. Why did I do that? The cut (top to bottom) was an eyesore. I've never regretted passing on it because it just hurts to look at.

I agree with most of the sentiments here. The 1998 Crusades are beautiful and some of my favorite cards in my McGriff collection
