Now I'm not positive, but those Encarnacions just look like backdoored Crusades from the ones that actually got released. Even though those are Series 2 (past 100), I am pretty sure he's talking about the ones after #130, the ones that never actually got released into packs. 100 to 130 were released in the Update packs. Once again, there are tons of guys on here with more knowledge than me, so they can confirm, but I always thought the unreleased ones were cards after 130.

I have the regular Crusade Set and the Series 2/prototype/backdoored/whatever you want to call them Crusades of my favorite player. None of the Series 2 backdoored Crusades have a serial number or ***, its just blank where the serial # should be.

They should have 2 totally different pictures on the front. The Encarnacion's have the same front on them as the released ones in Donruss Update 100 to 130. If you look at the Will's above, the backdoored "promos" have totally different pictures. Each player was supposed to have a regular Crusade and a Call To Arms Crusade, but that isn't always the case.

This 100-card set features a selection of the league's top stars. Cards were randomly inserted into three products as follows: 40 players into 1998 Donruss, 30 into 1998 Leaf, and 30 into 1998 Donruss Update. The fronts feature color player photos printed with Limited "refractive" technology. The backs carry player information. Only 250 of each of these Green cards were produced and sequentially numbered. Cards are designated below with a D, L or U suffix to denote their original distribution within Donruss, Leaf or Donruss Update packs. All of the "Call to Arms" (sic CTA) subset cards were mistakenly printed without numbers. Corrected copies were never made.

Randomly inserted in packs, this 30-card set is an insert to the Leaf Rookies and Stars brand and was intended as an update to the 100 Crusade insert cards seeded in 1998 Donruss Update, 1998 Leaf and 1998 Donruss packs (thus the numbering 101-130). The set is sequentially numbered to 250. The fronts feature color action photos placed on a background of a Crusade shield design. The set features three parallel versions printed with a "Spectra-tech" holographic technology. First year serial-numbered cards of Kevin Millwood and Magglio Ordonez are featured in this set.

What I know about these cards...

-Inserted in order packets. 2-3 cards per packet (?), all insert cards, no base.
-Labeled "Rookies & Chase" instead of "Rookies & Stars" ('Chase' implied gambling so they changed them).
-Marked SAMPLE in big letters on back.
-Seen multiples of several specific cards/players but zero copies of others.

Considering some of the amazing oddities I see in the Frank Thomas, Ripken, McGwire, etc threads, I'm hoping that someone might have a lead for some of these.

Ever since the store I was working at in 1998 received our order packet, I have been on the hunt for the Brad Fullmers. According to Beckett, Fullmer has Freshman Orientation, Major League Hard Drives and Ticket Masters (w/ Vlad) samples.

Does anyone have any leads on these? Maybe know a good source?

Just looked through mine and I only have the Molitor and the Ivan Rodriguez. I'll keep looking though
