Anybody ever calculate out how many of each pattern exist? I've heard guesses but never heard a number generated by calculating odds. I don't know the odds on these so I can't do the math myself.

Beckett says odds were 1:6

Thinking about that, If they were 1:6 I would think I would have seen more than the handfull of Andruw's I have.

That's more information than I have :)

Any idea what the production on the product was?

I'm curious because this is by far the hardest set to complete. I see maybe 1-2 of these a year at most.

I agree, if these are 1:6 then these would be the hardest 1:6 cards ever to find. I have never seen one Walker, not one.

Same here, I've never seen a single Burnitz. We should organize a retro group buy of a couple boxes. Any interest?

Are there even any boxes out there?

The cheapest box I've seen was $175. I think there a couple on ebay around $200.

Yes, When I was working on the 90 card set (still only have 89) I picked up 3 diffractors from sportlots/beckett that were listed as regulars.

As Fandruw mentioned, it's very easy to over look them if you don't know what to look for. I only have 2, & both were purchased as regular Teks

There were 20 packs per box, so roughly 3-4 diffractors per box. With 90 cards in the set and 90 patterns available for each card, I come up with a number of 8100 different diffractor variations. In order to account for all 8100 variations at 4 per box, I come up with a number of 2025 boxes. And that number is generous assuming 4 per box. I don't know how many total boxes were produced, but here are some figures to digest:

5 copies of each diffractor = 10,125 total boxes
10 copies of each diffractor = 20,250 total boxes
25 copies of each diffractor = 50,625 total boxes
50 copies of each diffractor = 101,250 total boxes

With the boxes being so scarce, my guess is they are limited to under 20 copies each. With 10 copies probably being the most obvious number based on their future tek gold releases.

Sorry if my math is off, I did this rather quickly.

Damn dude, When I did the math I used 3 per box and often kinda figured that it was between 10-20 per version much like the 99 and 00 golds.

BTW here are all my diffractors. only 10% of all of them :(

Edit: After looking at the image, maybe that will answer you question as to if they just end up in common boxes. Sorry, I don't feel like keep trying to scan to get a 'refractorish' look like the post above  I

I've got 4 so far, here are 3 of them. My goal is to fill up a 9 card page.
