Seller on Facebook posted some Teks on 12/10, including a lot of 3 98 Thome Diffractors for $5 for the 3... Unfortunately, I missed them. :( He is going to hopefully send pictures of the other 98/99/2000s he has.

I do have this beauty on it's way to me...

Any chance the Biggio is FT/FS? Also what pattern is it? Thanks

BenG76;2108451]So as to not break the bylaws of the 1998 Topps Tek Thread here is where I hope to share my 1999 and 2000 Topps Teks as I pick them up. I am after Cubs players at the moment. Here is what came in the mail for me today. I have some more on the way and should get them over the next few days or so.

There are bylaws..?

Hi Joe- FYI when Bob Kingsbury (ebay ID kingsbrat) passed about 5 years ago He probably had 40++ 1999 Tek Gold McGwires in it. I personally sold him at least 5, maybe more. I think his Teks are still locked away somewhere. Although one of his 98 Donruss Crusade sets did get sold after he passed via a CO dealer, arranged by his family.

He also had a habit for picking up 1994 Donruss Elite Dante Bichettes...fully 1200+ of the 10,000 made!

Hmmm interesting. I think that might be the same person I made an extremely large purchase from which netted me some misc items like my red crusade proto. Do you remember the dealer's name?

In Re the 1998 Crusade sale: I picked up about 30 of those prototypes at the same time- I went after the lower dollar ones that I later flipped. Just looked it up and the seller was allcsinc, the sale went down back in Mach 2010. I seem to remember him selling a huge number of the crusades too, but my memory there is fuzzy as I never actually bid on any.

Bob was a really interesting guy, he would regularly drive down to me in AZ from CO and would pay in cash. He spent his career as a photographer for Topps back in the early days into the 1980s. We would usually hang out and talk baseball for a while whenever we got together. Pretty sure he had multiples of just about every Red Crusade in his collection too. Congrats on winning the McGwire proto back then!
