2 Boxes 2007 Sweet Spot & 6 packs 2009 Topps Chrome w/Scans

It's been awhile since I've had something to break open. Had a gift certificate to my favorite shop so I thought I would try quantity over quality :lol: Got 2 packs of the Sweet Spot for $55 apiece and picked up the last 6 packs of Topps Chrome since it seems a bit more popular than I could recall from the prior years. Anywho...on to the break.

From the 2 boxes of Sweet Spot:

Ryan Zimmerman and Johan Santana GU jerseys

Carl Crawford and Jorge Posada GU jerseys

Miguel Montero and Jon Knott Rookie Helmet Autos

Carlos Quentin Sweet Spot Auto 266/299...yes it came that faded

Jonathan Papelbon Sweet Spot Gold Ink Auto 23/25

From the last packs of 2009 Topps Chrome were some nice looking base cards, a Carlos Zambrano base refractor, a Joel Naughton WBC blue refractor 30/199 and this shiny guy...

Michael Bowden Blue Refractor Auto 174/199 (scan is slightly cut off on the left)

Besides the fade Quentin auto it was a pretty fun break for the cost.Thanks for looking and let me know what you guys think :mrgreen:

Is UD so desparate to cut corners they can't even used OMLB's to have signed?I've seen way too many faded signatures out of that stuff.Are you going to send it back?

Nice and shiny The on card auto definitely adds to the appeal. You and mojodan have similar taste

Sin - Yeah...that does suck about the auto. I won't send it back though, I knew from the get go I had a chance for that and its not worth it to run to the PO and pay to ship it back let alone take the time to email someone to get the process started. I am that kinda lazy though ::facepalm::

That Pap is great looking. And that Bowden is sweet. I just hate the box around the auto.

I had that Quentin at one point in time as well - mine was extremely faded. It's definitely a bummer feeling when you get such a cool card that has such a major flaw. Great job on your busts though - you did a GREAT job. The Paps is really nice!
