Is it me or am I the only one that would prefer a nice single-swatch jersey card over a 4-8 swatch card?

Awesome break! Nice Mauer! Michael Young looks stoned in his picture..

Exactly what I was thinking.

And if I'm a Red Sox fan, the Red Sox/Orioles card is absolutely sick, but I don't want my rival team on the other side. 3 swatches would have done it.

It's just you. If there are going to give us a plain swatch jersey card, give me 4-8 swatches.

Out of the two boxes that I opened, the one thing that I did not like, was that there were a number of cards where all I had was white swatches. I think that they could of done a better job on that. However, the cards that werent all white swatches, were really nice. I still have more scanning to do, but work and having a kid, time is at a premimum when it comes to scanning. I hope I can get more up by the end of the week. The only other thing that I did not like was having player wearing one uniform while the team listed is another. I got an Aaron Rowand swatch auto, but it has him in a Whitesox uniform and the card has him listed with the giants. Just a little odd.

Why Upper Deck feels the need to imply importance to a card by slapping a silly hologram tag to "standard" cards like these I'll never understand.

Then again, if I was a Nick Swisher fan, I'd be extremely annoyed at the placement of the sticker.

Only the dual sided cards have the holograms, to match the COAs.

I understand that, what I do not understand is why Upper Deck feels the need to slap an ugly sticker (and moronic COA) and attach it to a $10 jersey card. They don't do it for a $40 Derek Jeter patch card, so why do it for this?

I'd rather have a single swatch from one player that I collect than 6 swatches, with one of them being a player I collect. As a player collector, I think adding other players just detracts from the card . I especially hate that many of the players on these multi swatch cards have very little connection. I wouldn't mind if they were all on the same team, but some of the combos just dont make any sense.
