The triple is great, but as a Twins fan I LOVE the Piazza/Mauer dual. If Mauer stays at catcher and keeps winning batting titles that could be a card with the two best hitting catchers of all time.

You really think Mauer can surpass Pudge in offensive numbers? That would certainly be a mighty hard thing to do as a catcher these days. Not saying he couldn't as I don't follow Mauer, but he'd have to have a pretty long career to do it. Love the idea though.

I do. Kid doesn't turn 26 until next month and already has two batting titles as a catcher. If he hits his prime like most in the 28-30 range he could win 5 or 6 in his career. That said I don't think he matches Pudge HR totals, but I expect all his other numbers to be better.

The real question is how long he is a catcher. I think that is his biggest hurdle.
