Fugazzi,

But just to offer my 2 cents, I think it would be foolish for Brian even to try this. The cost of having to re-submit the already graded/slabbed cards to simply put the RAZOR name on it's label will only increase the cost of the product for the consumer. I would much rather see a holographic sticker of some sort with the RAZOR name stuck to the team bag accompanying the card. That way, it's not on the slab it'self but still present for thoes who want it. To make this even more wanted/valuable to the customer, he could put a serial number on the sticker as well that matches an online database of a scan of the actual card. This would do the trick as far as getting the RAZOR name attached to the packed slab's, and offer added value to the product. And, give thoes who do not wish to have the RAZOR name associated with their cards the oppertunity to simply take it out of the team bag and throw away the RAZOR connection.

The more I think of it, the more it seems foolish to resubmit already slabbed cards to simply put the RAZOR name on the Label when the cost is going to impact the buyer. But I do like the Idea of having RAZORs name associated with the pack pulled slabs as mentioned above.

You are right that won't be a good idea to resubmit them for grading. Your holographic logo is a good idea combined with the online database.

Fugazzi,
You should be able to get $100 out of Marichal. While its not a big winner per se, its certainly not a terrible card. 9's are tough!
Please PM me your address. You have been randomly chosen to receive a free gift from Razor. Thanks for the box break and support.

p.s.-
Amazin, there are PLENTY of big cards in this one. Just hard to tell when you see them listed on ebay which came from this product.

Would it be possible for Razor to ask PSA to add somewhere in their slabs a Razor logo for those products? I saw a guy once that is a pretty big BGS customer that had his name on the slabs right under the card description.

I, for one, would not like this idea.
BLeh... I agree.

Years down the road who's going to want that on a slab to remind them of a company that never was.
No thanks.[/quote:5j0bxwrs]

Russ,
You are quite humorous. It is very safe to say I will be in this "business" long after most are gone, just like I was in "business" long before most started.

On to the main issue, I do agree that many collectors would NOT want the Razor name on the slab.
If you had just said that without the wisecracks, I would have agreed to a large extent.

I was speaking in the baseball sense.
But you get my drift, unlike Hunter.
No disrespect.

Nice cards Fugazi! I think they are both very nice. Agreed on the 68 PSA 9 though. Would like to see an earlier year than that. But still - it's not a .50 cent game used bat card. I do like the idea of the product, even if there is absolutely nothing that makes it a "Razor" product other than Brian putting his money on the line to pack this out and hoping it sold. Not a knock at all - as I said - I think this product was ingenious for making money. Nothing that should stop us as a group from trying it :)

Regarding slabs with Razor on them: I personally don't see the point. Doesn't do anything for the card b/c it's not a razor product. Razor didn't slab it either, so why resub just to have "razor" put on it. What difference does it make to the card or the value of the item or collectibility of the item if Brian bought it off ebay and packed it out for you to pull vs. just buying it yourself on ebay? There is nothing added to the collectibility of the card by putting razor on the slab. I don't think it takes away either, but I just don't see the point. What so you can say in 20 years this is one of the PSA 9 Marichal's from 1968 that Razor bought off ebay which was already slabbed a PSA 9 and then packed into a box for me to pull it out of. Did you just laugh because that sounds pretty silly? Well, there you go. All it would do is remind you that someone paid $250 for that one instead of the going $90 going rate (or whatever it is). Likewise for a more expensive card. "Oh, this is the 1952 Auto Mantle that someone got from the Razor pack and was lucky enough to get for only $250." Doesn't change the card or the value of the card. It is what it is - a slabbed authentic Mantle auto on a 52 Topps card.

Possible negative to this: Overgraded cards and the arguement that a manufacturer got better grades than deserved on cards b/c of their status in the hobby. "Oh, this card was graded a 9 when clearly it's an 8, but PSA just gave Razor a better grade b/c they are major manufacturer." Their name on the slab would just add more room for questioning of what is already a questionable business.

Thanks Bill.
