True. I guess to me that's high for a box, but I understand your point.

600 is very high for a box, but I think that seller is waiting for someone uneducated to come along

I love the 2001 Oswalt BDP autos. Nice card stock, great color, and a big bold auto.

Great McGwire pull. I'm sure there are a few guys on these boards that would like to add that to their collection.

381 of the Pujols chrome were redeemed.

Pretty sure I read this in Beckett a few years back

2001 Bowman Chrome boxes are indeed "sky high" already.

That price is just insane for a "chance" at an autograph.

Let's remember that all rookies were short-printed that year perhaps something like 6 RCs a box and rookie autographs were one per case I believe, maybe two.

The chances of pulling anything of value in those boxes today is no greater than pulling a BGS 9.5 out of 1988 Donruss. But I like my odds better with 1988 Donruss.

Did these come in packs or as box toppers? Namely regarding the pujols of course, If they come in packs, anyone know the odds?

I thought the rookie autographed cards were box toppers. I remember that I got a box of 2001 Bowman at the National that year. I had a loaded box with an Adrian Gonzalez auto as the topper, a redemption for a Don Zimmer auto (which Topps gave me a 2000 Bowman's Best Johnny Bench auto) and each pack had 5 to 8 gold cards in it. One of the gold cards was a Pujols that I had slabbed.

Does anyone else remember if the rookie autographed cards were box toppers?

I know of a bc pujols auto that was subbed 5 times to bgs and 3 to psa. The numbers will continue to be way off until they start tracking serial numbers. Of course the 5/ 05/005/ etc that were placed on the card doesn't help much. I digress. I guess they should use the sticker cert number.
