This is a funny hobby:

A week ago, this card ended...
[ebay:1d7l5j3y]290414682137[/ebay:1d7l5j3y]

I tried to work out a deal before hand with my buddy, but he declined and said he would just bid what he bid on it the first time (we were bidding against each other during the auction that I won). Well, he wins it for $60 less than I paid the first time around. Since he won, I proposed a trade for a 2001 Bowman Stan Musial reprint RC auto and $30.

Back story: I sold him the 2001 Musial Bowman reprint auto about 1.5 years ago for $130 and neither of us have seen another copy listed on eBay since then. He knew I always hated selling card and new I was close to making up the money I owe in taxes and agreed to the deal.

He made a joke that he'd have to win this auction now, since he traded the card (he had been outbid at $100):
[ebay:1d7l5j3y]280481325223[/ebay:1d7l5j3y]

He called me while I was coming home from the grocery store and asked if I was going to give the $30 back. He was kidding of course and we were both shocked.

Crazy how things work out in this hobby!!! I love this card BTW!

Is that the Holliday 9.5 GEM, that was damaged from "water?" I was wondering why you were selling. I was actually going to go for your Gold, but decided for this one, instead: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT

Real nice reprint.

The Holliday was a BGS 9 and still is. You could simply see the "chrome residue" that is common from the early chrome cards.

Come again? So this is not the one you purchased, a few months back, correct (the 9.5 Gem)?

It is it. A 9 that is still a 9:)
