Being on eBay on a Thursday night is not very good for a basketball card collector with weak spirit when it comes to finding deals. After an hour of searching for deals, I stumbled upon an extremely rare box which I have not seen in a long time. Topps Pristine is a tough break to find, as it had a limited production which makes it tough to find in the after market. 2005-06 was also filled with a strong rookie class including Chris Paul and Deron Williams. I gave up collecting when I was in college and did not get back into it until the past 2 seasons, which left me with a 3 year hole in my collection. I splurged on these 12 blister packs and I decided to take the plunge. I bought them for $145, which I think is a good deal considering that they were available at $30 when they first were released and still cost around $20 per pack.
These cards were manufactured with a modern design which attempts to create a timeless card that transcends the futuristic cards that were produced during this time period. I don’t know if they were worth the large price tag that was attached with them, but my particular box was extremely good.
