ETA - Set is now complete! After not seeing a Gwynn for sale for at least 2 years, there was 2 posted within a week, go figure...

Here is the last one I just received...

Re: Big 2005 Origins Signatures Addition, Down to 2

I am SLOWLY trying to go for this set as well. Sit around 20 but barely cracked into any of the larger names.. How did you come across the Ripken? Beautiful.

It just ended on ebay, got it for $130 shipped. I offered him $150 for it but he let the auction go, so I was happy with the price... First one I have seen in around 2 years that I have been doing the set. I have not seen any Gwynn's for sale in that time, and a few Schmidt's early on but kept putting off buying it.

Hang in there, I was stuck after about 40, these final 8 have been tough. There are a bunch on Beckett but most of the asking prices are pretty high.

Ahh, very nice. I have not searched recently due to being overwhelmed with finals and moving back home. As a college student I do not have a huge income to work with, but I try to pick up bargains when I see them. Congrats on the Ripken though and look forward to you completing the set! Hopefully I'll be in the same position one day ;)

What are you willing to pay for a Schmidt? I'm pretty sure the local shop has one

Most impressive! I hope you pull in the Gwynn soon, but would you really want the hunt to end? :o

I really loved the '05 Origins sigs, but even more the Old Judge set. I worked on completing that signature set for awhile before I sold it off so I could focus on player collecting.

I am now at 46 of the 48 autographs, missing only Gwynn and Schmidt (if anyone has them please let me know)...

Just picked up the toughest from the set, short printed to 25...

Good luck finding the Gwynn. So was the Beltran never made?

Beltran was never made. I've got the redemption for it, but it was never made.

I'm still missing the Gwynn, Yount & Schmidt.

There was another Schmidt on ebay with BIN/BO earlier in the week.

I feel this is one of the nicest autographed sets made, due to the on card sigs and wonderful color photography. I always hated how ud would make one or two in b/w though. Congrats on finishing the set. :)
