I've been working on this set since about 2008. I've been outbid on the last card (8x10) numerous times with snipes set as high as $125. What a difference a trade makes. Sniped this for $56.

In honor of finally completing the set... Here are his little friends.

Congrats Tom!
Well done.

In retrospect, that Woods/Prior could of been legendary!

Thanks, yes a lot of star power and "Should'a / Could'a" playters. This was hard to complete because I often went up against player collectors for some of the major SP like Jeter / Johnson. One of the Jeter / Johnson cards was damaged in a personal collection so there are really only 24 decent copies left. Guy said his nephew folder the card in half. I thought that one would be good for making cut autographs.

love this set!!

are you displaying it or just storing it?

I'm debating. They look really nice in the black framed 8x10 screw downs. The gold really pops with the black background. These will take up a lot of wall space though. I might frame them and then line them up over the window. I'll send pictures if I do wind up displaying them like they should be.

Sweet Set! I always am afraid to display anything I have that is autographed because of fading. Do the "UV protectant" holders actually work? All of my autographed stuff is currently tucked in the dark closet.

Thanks for the kind workds and encouragement everyone. I have many other sets in progress and sometimes it feels like I'll never complete them all so finishing this one is definately a moral booster.

HullFan - I display most of my nicer items in a curio cabinet. I leave the light off unless I have someone over to the house who is interestred in looking at the items inside. I also live on the shady site of a hill and my house is surrounded by large pine and cedar trees so there is very little chance of direct natural light damaging the autographs. I feel bad when special items sit in the closet and I don't look at them for years on end. Then it feels like hoarding and not collecting... to me... so I try and break out binders and enjoy my collection as often as I can.
