Detroit's staff carried them through the AL playoffs but didn't stay hot long enough to take it all. Their lineup wasn't very good and in my opinion was the only one out of the four AL playoff teams that could have been shut down by the likes of Jeff Weaver.

Their lineup may not have scared opposing pitchers much, but I recall Inge hitting like #7-8 in their lineup, and he hit 20-25 bombs that year.Their offense was better than you think. They just didn't have anyone that jumped out at you.

Tigers were sloppy, but the Cardinals were already winning some of those games when Verlander and Rodney couldn't field the ball.It just wasn't the Tigers completely throwing the games away.Duncan and Edmonds made huge blunders in the OF in the deciding Game 5 and the Tigers still couldn't win.

Albert Pujols had better steroids than the other team

I guess the cocaine helped Hammy in the Derby too huh?

Thanks for the serious answers to the ones who are giving good replies.

Did Pujols do *anything* in that World Series outside of the home run in Game 1 (aside from getting walked of course)?
